Great news for the jailbreak community; Electra Jailbreak is here, the first proper jailbreak that we have seen for many months. Brought to us by a developer named Coolstar, Electra jailbreak works on all iOS devices, providing very welcome access to Cydia tweaks and apps once more.
You can’t download it the way we used to download jailbreaks; you need to install an external app installer called Emus4U app first. Secondly, it is semi-untethered. While most will understand what this means, some won’t so, basically, whenever your device is restarted for any reason, the jailbreak needs to be reactivated. Built-in to this jailbreak is support for Cydia. Keep reading for details on how to download Electra jailbreak.
How to Install Electra Jailbreak:
As mentioned, you need to install an external installer called Emus4U to get this jailbreak. Emus4U is full of content, loads of 3rd-party apps and games and several useful games emulators, not to mention, of course, Electra jailbreak, so take some time to explore it and see what else is on offer. Here’s how to get the jailbreak. Tap the Download button below for direct download.
- Download Emus4U directly to your device, a step by step tutorial and download links are at the link
- Open Emus4U from your device and tap on ( Apps ) section
- When you open Emus4U apps and then type Electra into the search box
- Tap Search and wait; tap the result and tap Install
- When Electra jailbreak is installed, the icon should be on your home screen, and you can use it by tapping the icon.
Do let us know if you get on Ok with Electra jailbreak or if you encounter any issues using it. We will do whatever possible to try to solve any problems you may need, but you do have the option of deleting Electra jailbreak form your device if you want.
You can try another method, installing the Electra IPA file. You need Cydia impactor for this, and full instructions on how to do it can be found at the link here.
Electra Jailbreak may be a little different from what we are used to but it is still a jailbreak, and it still offers access to those all-important apps and tweaks.
